Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) Italian sausage, sliced
1 lb (450 g) bow tie pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Cook the bow tie pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced Italian sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, heavy cream, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
