Cheesy Taco Breadsticks Recipe

Ingredients:

1 small onion, diced

1 tablespoon garlic, minced

1 lb ground beef

2 tablespoons taco seasoning

1 lb pizza dough, rolled out into a rectangle

1 cup Mexican cheese blend

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salsa, for dipping

Guacamole, for dipping

Instructions:

In a skillet, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic over medium heat until they become soft and translucent.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and stir in the taco seasoning. Cook the beef until it’s fully browned and no longer pink. Remove the skillet from heat and set the beef mixture aside to cool slightly.

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough and cut it into 5 even strips.

Spoon the cooked beef mixture down the center of each strip of dough, followed by a generous sprinkle of the Mexican cheese blend.

Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pinching along the seams to seal the meat and cheese inside, and ensuring the ends are closed.

Brush the tops of the sealed breadsticks with olive oil and place them on a prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove the breadsticks and top them with additional cheese.

Return the breadsticks to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and golden.

Serve the breadsticks warm with salsa and guacamole for dipping.
