Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tenders!
Ingredients
1 lb chicken tenders (or chicken breasts cut into strips)
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (or Panko for extra crunch)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying) or cooking spray (for baking)
For Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Additional grated parmesan (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Breading Station
In one shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
In another shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Step 2: Coat the Chicken
Dip each chicken tender into the egg mixture, then coat it in the breadcrumb-parmesan mixture, pressing lightly to adhere the coating.
For extra crispiness, you can repeat the coating process (dip again in the egg mixture and then in the breadcrumbs).
Step 3: Fry or Bake the Chicken
To Fry:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Once hot, add the chicken tenders and fry for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
Drain the chicken on a paper towel-lined plate.
To Bake:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Place the breaded chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet and spray them lightly with cooking spray to help them crisp up.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the tenders are golden and crispy.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
Garnish the chicken tenders with fresh parsley and additional parmesan cheese if desired.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch, honey mustard, or marinara.
