Ingredients:


4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup Italian breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:


Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).


Prepare the Breading:

In a shallow dish, combine the Italian breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.


Prepare the Egg Wash:

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.


Bread the Chicken:

Dip each chicken breast into the egg wash, allowing the excess to drip off. Then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.


Bake the Chicken:

Place the breaded chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.


Add Sauce and Cheese:

Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each piece. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.


Garnish and Serve:

Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
