MUSHROOM AND GARLIC BUTTER STEAK 🥩🍄🧄
Ingredients:
2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup mushrooms, sliced (such as cremini or button)
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1 tsp dried thyme)
1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Steaks:
Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steaks and cook to your desired level of doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time for thicker or thinner steaks.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
Cook the Mushrooms:
In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook over medium heat until they begin to brown, about 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Make the Garlic Butter:
Reduce the heat to low and add the butter to the skillet. Stir until melted and combined with the mushrooms and garlic.
Stir in the fresh thyme and soy sauce if using. Cook for another 1 minute.
Finish the Steaks:
Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning some of the garlic butter and mushrooms over them. Cook for an additional minute to reheat and absorb flavors.
Serve:
Serve the steaks topped with mushroom and garlic butter. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
