🍕🧀 Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese
Ingredients:
8 slices of bread (choose from white, whole wheat, or Italian)
Butter, for spreading
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup pizza sauce
24 slices of pepperoni
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
Optional: A pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions:
Warm up a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Generously butter one side of each bread slice.
Arrange four slices, buttered side down, on your work surface.
Smear the pizza sauce on the top side of these slices.
Evenly distribute the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the sauce.
Top each slice with six pepperoni slices.
Season with garlic powder, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.
Cap with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up, completing the sandwiches.
Cook the sandwiches in the heated skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is perfectly golden and the cheese has melted.
Take the sandwiches off the heat and let them sit for a brief moment before slicing.
