A comforting and tasty dish, perfect for family dinners!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 onion (chopped)
pom 4-5 medium potatoes (thinly sliced)
2 2 garlic cloves (minced)
2 c. with butter soup
c 3 c. for all-purpose flour soup
2 cups of milk
2 cups grated cheddar cheese (divided)
1 c. with salt coffee (or to taste)
1/2 c. at black pepper coffee
. 1/2 c. to paprika coffee
. 1/2 c. with dried parsley coffee (optional)
4 slices of bacon (cooked and crumbled, optional)
Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
par Prepare the potatoes:
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice the potatoes: Wash, peel (if desired) and slice the potatoes finely. Make your reservations.
Cooking the meat:
3. Brown the Meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium-high heat until the meat is golden brown and the onion is tender.
4. Add garlic: Incorporate minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Burn out the excess fat and book.
par Prepare the cheese sauce:
5. Make a blush: In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add in flour and bake for 1-2 minutes until slightly golden brown.
6. Add Milk: Gradually incorporate milk by constantly whipping to avoid lumps. Keep cooking until sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
7. Add cheese and seasonings: Add 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, paprika and parsley. Cook until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. Bring out the fire.
Assemble the casserole:
8. Assemble the pan: In a buttered 9x13-inch baking dish, arrange half of the potatoes in an even layer. Cover half of the cooked meat mixture, then pour half of the cheese sauce over the meat and potatoes. Repeat with rest of the potatoes, meat and cheese sauce.
9. Add cheese: Sprinkle remaining of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Cooking the pan:
10. Bake: Cover baking tray with tin foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and bubbly.
Serve:
11. Garnish and serve: Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle crumbled bacon (if used) and fresh parsley. Serve up your hamburger and cheesy potato casserole hot and enjoy!
