Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta
Ingredients:
For the Pasta:
12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
For the Sauce:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lb chicken breast (sliced)
1 onion (chopped)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 yellow bell pepper (diced)
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta: Begin by boiling the pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken breast and cook until it’s golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Add Vegetables: Using the same skillet, toss in the chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced yellow bell pepper. Sauté until they become tender.
Make the Sauce: Lower the heat and stir in the Cajun seasoning, heavy cream, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens.
Combine: Return the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet, tossing everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce.
