Egg Salad Sandwich Recipe

 Egg Salad Sandwich Recipe🥚🥪

Ingredients:

- 6 large eggs

- 1/4 cup mayonnaise

- 1 tsp Dijon mustard

- 1 tsp yellow mustard

- 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped (optional)

- 1/4 cup celery, finely diced

- 1 tbsp dill pickle relish (optional)

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 8 slices of bread (whole wheat, white, or your favorite kind)

- Lettuce leaves (optional)

- Sliced tomatoes (optional)

Instructions:

1. Boil the Eggs:

Place the eggs in a medium saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the saucepan, remove it from the heat, and let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes.

2. Cool and Peel the Eggs:

After the eggs have cooked, transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool for about 5 minutes. Once cool, peel the eggs and chop them into small pieces.

3. Prepare the Salad:

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, chives, celery, and dill pickle relish. Mix until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Assemble the Sandwiches:

Lay out the slices of bread. Spread a generous amount of egg salad on half of the slices. If you like, add lettuce leaves and sliced tomatoes on top of the egg salad. Top with the remaining slices of bread.

5. Serve:

Cut the sandwiches in half, and serve them immediately. These sandwiches are great with a side of chips, pickles, or a light salad.
