Rotel Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescents 🌶️🧀🥐

 



A deliciously savory appetizer perfect for any gathering, these Rotel Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescents are packed with spicy sausage, creamy cheese, and wrapped in buttery, flaky crescent rolls. A sure crowd-pleaser!


Ingredients:

1 pound ground sausage

1 can Rotel (diced tomatoes and green chilies), drained

8 oz cream cheese, softened

2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

Cook the sausage:


In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.

Combine the filling:


In a large bowl, mix the cooked sausage, drained Rotel, and softened cream cheese until well combined.

Prepare the crescents:


Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles.

Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture on the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll up the crescents from the wide end to the point, encasing the filling.

Bake:


Place the filled crescents on a baking sheet and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
