sugar-free energy dessert recipe

Here’s an old-fashioned, sugar-free energy dessert recipe that’s naturally sweet and packed with energy-boosting ingredients.

                               Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dates (pitted)
  • 1 cup nuts (almonds, walnuts, or a mix)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup flax seeds or chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (optional, for a chocolatey twist)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • A little water (only if needed to blend)

Instructions:

  1. Soak the dates in warm water for 10-15 minutes to soften them, then drain.
  2. In a food processor, blend the nuts until finely chopped.
  3. Add the dates, shredded coconut, flax or chia seeds, cocoa powder (if using), vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Pulse until the mixture becomes sticky. If it’s too dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until it comes together.
  5. Once mixed, roll into small balls or press into a baking dish to cut into bars.
  6. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to set, then enjoy!

These treats are perfect for a quick, natural energy boost and are great for on-the-go snacking!
