 Dorito Taco Salad 🥗



Ingredients:


1 pound (450g) lean ground beef

1 packet (1 oz/28g) taco seasoning mix

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

1 cup (150g) cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup (60g) sliced black olives

½ cup (60g) diced red onion

1 cup (150g) canned corn, drained

2 cups (100g) Nacho Cheese Doritos, slightly crushed

1 cup (240ml) Catalina dressing

Instructions:


Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning mix and ¼ cup (60ml) water; simmer for 5 minutes. Let it cool slightly.

Assemble Salad: In a large bowl, combine chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, black olives, red onion, and corn.

Add Beef and Doritos: Add the seasoned ground beef and crushed Doritos to the salad mixture.

Dress Salad: Pour Catalina dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

Serve Immediately: Serve promptly to maintain the crunchiness of the Doritos.

Notes:


For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.

Add diced avocado or jalapeños for extra flavor.

To prevent sogginess, add Doritos and dressing just before serving.
