 Prosciutto, Sage & Gruyere Puff Pastry Pinwheels 🧀



Ingredients:


🥐 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

🧀 1 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded

🥓 6 slices prosciutto

🌿 1 tbsp fresh sage leaves, finely chopped (or 1 tsp dried sage)

🥚 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:


Prepare the puff pastry: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.

Layer the filling: Evenly sprinkle the shredded Gruyere over the pastry. Lay the prosciutto slices on top and sprinkle with chopped sage.

Roll and slice: Roll the pastry tightly into a log from the long side. Using a sharp knife, cut into 1/2-inch slices.

Prepare for baking: Arrange the pinwheels on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

Serve: Let cool slightly before serving warm.
