"SLOW COOKER BEEF BRISKET WITH BBQ SAUCE 🥩🍖🔥
A tender and flavorful beef brisket cooked low and slow in the slow cooker, then slathered with tangy BBQ sauce. Perfect for a delicious and easy weeknight dinner!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3-4 pounds beef brisket
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the BBQ Sauce:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP 1: PREPARE THE BEEF BRISKET
1. Season the beef brisket generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned. Transfer to the slow cooker.
STEP 2: MAKE THE BBQ SAUCE
1. In a medium saucepan, combine all the BBQ sauce ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
2. Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the brisket in the slow cooker. Add sliced onions and minced garlic. Pour beef broth over the top.
STEP 3: SLOW COOK THE BRISKET
1. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the brisket is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
2. Once cooked, shred the brisket using two forks. Serve the shredded beef brisket with the remaining BBQ sauce.
