Grilled Filet Mignon with Herb Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Filet Mignon:

4 filet mignon steaks (1.5–2 inches thick)

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

For the Herb Butter:

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

1 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)

1 tsp fresh rosemary (chopped)

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Prepare the Filet Mignon:

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.

Brush both sides of the steaks with olive oil.

Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Let the steaks rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Make the Herb Butter:

In a small bowl, mix softened butter with garlic, parsley, thyme, rosemary, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Set aside or refrigerate until ready to use.

Preheat the Grill:

Preheat your grill to high heat (450°F-500°F).

Grill the Filet Mignon:

Place the steaks directly on the grill and sear for 3-4 minutes per side to achieve a good crust.

Move the steaks to indirect heat and cook until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness:

Rare: 120°F (49°C)

Medium-Rare: 130°F (54°C)

Medium: 140°F (60°C)

Finish with Herb Butter:

Remove the steaks from the grill and top each with a generous dollop of herb butter while they rest.

Let the steaks rest for 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serve:

Plate the filet mignon and enjoy with your favorite sides for an elegant and flavorful meal.

These tender and juicy steaks, paired with aromatic herb butter, are perfect for a special occasion or indulgent dinner. 🥩✨
