1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and black pepper to taste

For Garnish:
Fresh parsley and basil, chopped
Instructions:
Prepare the Beef:Season the beef slices with salt and pepper. Spread a thin layer of the breadcrumb mixture over each slice.
Assemble the Braciole:Roll each beef slice tightly into a cylinder and secure with kitchen twine or toothpicks.
Sear the Braciole:Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the beef rolls on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Tomato Sauce:In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in crushed tomatoes, broth, basil, red pepper flakes (if using), and seasoning. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
Simmer the Braciole:Return the beef rolls to the skillet, cover, and simmer on low for 1.5 to 2 hours, turning occasionally.
Serve:Remove the kitchen twine or toothpicks and plate the beef rolls with a generous spoonful of tomato sauce. Garnish with parsley and basil. Serve with pasta, polenta, or crusty bread.
