Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

 


Ingredients:

- 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled

- 1/2 tsp garlic powder

- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough

- Salt and pepper, to taste

- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened


Instructions:


1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).


2. Cook the sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess grease, then stir in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.


3. Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and well combined.


4. Prepare the crescent rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. On each triangle, spoon a generous amount of the sausage-cream cheese mixture.


5. Roll up the crescents: Starting from the wide end, roll each crescent triangle up, sealing the filling inside.


6. Bake: Place the filled crescents on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.


7. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
