Crispy Balsamic-Thyme Potato Torte 🥔✨

Ingredients:

2 lbs potatoes (thinly sliced)

¼ cup balsamic vinegar

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tablespoon fresh thyme (chopped)

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Prepare the Potatoes:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch round baking dish or a similar oven-safe dish.

Thinly slice the potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.

Make the Balsamic Mixture:

In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, fresh thyme, salt, and pepper.

Assemble the Torte:

Arrange the sliced potatoes in a circular pattern, layering them in the baking dish. Drizzle some of the balsamic mixture over the first layer of potatoes.

Continue layering the potatoes in a circular pattern, drizzling more balsamic mixture over each layer until all the potatoes are used.

Bake:

Cover the torte with foil and bake for 45 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 20–25 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on top.

Serve:

Let the torte cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with extra thyme if desired.
